BK–NU (Beeldende Kunst Netwerk Utrecht)↗ is the name of the Utrecht art network that brings together six institutions for contemporary art: Academiegalerie↗; BAK, basis voor actuele kunst↗; Casco – Office for Art, Design and Theory↗; Expodium↗; FOTODOK↗; and Impakt↗. BK–NU focuses on art, design, fashion, media arts, documentary photography, and art in the public space, thus covering a broad spectrum within the arts sector in Utrecht.
The BK–NU institutions are involved in each other's programs and advance the position of contemporary art in Utrecht. They are highly aware of the importance of diversity for a fertile artistic environment in the city. In the dynamic cultural climate of today, where collaboration, innovation, public outreach, and participation are more important than ever, the institutions will invest more in being visible to a wide audience in Utrecht, making an even stronger commitment to creating exhibitions, lectures, projects, and presentations.
