Happy Holidays: Year of Groundwork & Upcoming Activities
For Casco-Office for Art, Design and Theory, 2013 was a year of groundwork, marking a new phase of its development. This began with creating a solid financial condition with long-term program support by Mondriaan Fund, the Utrecht City Council, DOEN Foundation and the European Union Culture Program. Secondly, we found a new, more spacious, enriching, and accessible building: a former school/monastery with a beautiful courtyard in the museum quarter of Utrecht. This means we will be moving to Lange Nieuwstraat 7 in Spring 2014. You are warmly invited to join our grand opening! Last but not least, our collaborative working environment has grown with an ever diversifying, broadening, and deepening of existing and new relations. Not only our team has expanded, but also the group of dedicated artists, designers, art professionals, institutions, initiatives and practitioners from various backgrounds and fields of knowledge we work with, thereby always transversing local and international dimensions.
We would like to thank you for all your contributions: sharing knowledge, co-laboring, attention, presence, discussion and feedback. We wish you beautiful and warm holidays.
In the new year, we will be intensively pursuing the 2013-2015 program guideline, Composing the Commons, with various projects, exhibitions, publications and other activities. We look forward to sharing them with you in 2014!
