Gemene Grond: Water is what we make it (hydrocommons)

Friday 10 June, 16.00–18.00 / Casco HQ

Casco Art Institute will host the final presentations of Water is what we make it: Gemene Grond‘s first artistic residency programme on the confluence of art, science and urban planning; working on new visualisations and speculative interventions for the redevelopment of the Leidse Rijn canal and its embankments in the heart of Utrecht.

In this programme Gemene Grond gathered artists, thinkers, ecologists and urban planners around the topics of hydrocommons and the ways in which they are interconnected through our shared, urban environment. Looking at the Leidse Rijn a.o. as part of the larger Rhine Delta and as a very specific body of water that will be actively connected to the historical Singel in the very near future.

Colophon:

With Samar Khan, María Mazzanti, Kat Benedict, Laila Saber Rodriguez, Eliza Collin, Nadia Christidi, Noam Youngrak Son, Yelizaveta Strakhova, Roland van Dierendonck and Anna Bierler

Organized by Gemene Grond in close collaboration with Xandra van Eijk and Gemeente Utrecht
