In October and November 2003, Casco functioned as an editorial office, archive and place of production for the publication of Casco Issues #9: Past Imperfect edited by Bik van der Pol and Lisette Smits, which examines the comparisons and differences between artistic practice now, and in the 1960s and ’70s. In cooperation with Bik Van Der Pol, films by Luke Fowler and Kosten Koper, Peter Watkins, Lars von Trier and Jørgen Leth, Jeremy Deller and Mike Figgis were shown in April and May 2004, with a focus on (re)constructions of individual and collective history. The films were screened at Casco and filmtheater ‘t Hoogt (Utrecht).
