On 13 April 2024, Arts in Solidarity took place at Casco Art Institute, organized with partners within the SPACEX research group (Spatial Practices in Art and Architecture for Empathetic Exchange). The event – organized with Andy Hewitt and Mel Jordan from Partisan Social Club – brought together thinkers and practitioners from the arts and academia. Participants examined collective artistic practices that are increasingly under pressure and reflected on what remains urgent amid shrinking financial support and fascist political contexts.

The outcomes were compiled into a publication. It features contributions from Yazan Khalili, Laura Alexander, Justin O’Connor, Christa-Maria (Mia) Lerm Hayes, as well as Andy, Mel, and the Casco team.
