On 7 November, KF Hein Fonds celebrates 25 years of Kunstcommissie at De Moestuin.. Since its founding, the initiative has supported artists and designers from Utrecht province in their artistic growth, development, and visibility. This anniversary event looks ahead, exploring how the arts can contribute to a more sustainable ecological future through dialogue with diverse makers and professionals from the field. Casco Art Institute joins the program together with Wapke Feenstra, who, in the context of the event, gives water-based temporary tattoos of wildflowers, grasses, aquatic plants, and herbs—translated from her original hand-drawn illustrations mapping the flora of the Dutch polder landscape. Conceived in relation to her current exhibition Rerooting in the Polder at Casco, the activity prompts conversations and reflections on the rural as a place for cultural production, alongside Merel Zwarts from The Outsiders and many other artists and initiatives.
