26 September 2026, 14:00–18:00 / Leidsche Rijn, Utrecht
Join us on Saturday, 26 September, for the first outdoor tour of our autumn exhibition The Land School, led by artists Asia Komarova and Avan Omar from the Utrecht-based ecological artistic collective The Outsiders.
We gather at 14:00 at Ateliers Kersenboomgaard.
From there, we embark on a journey through various agri-cultural sites in Leidsche Rijn, visiting farms and growers and learning about historical and revived ways of producing food within this ever-changing historical landscape. As it’s apple season, expect some fresh tastes and harvests along the way!
The tour takes place outdoors and involve cycling between different locations. The tour lasts until approximately 18:00. RSVP through info@casco.art so we can send you the address, expect your arrival, and answer any questions.
Please bring your bike, some water, and, just in case, a rainproof jacket. If you don’t have a bike, you can also rent an OV-fiets at Utrecht Leidsche Rijn station, which is very close to the meeting point.
The Outsiders is a collective working to create sustainable alternative contexts through social engagement. Through public art, architecture, and collaborative projects, the collective explores how we share and understand the city, engaging with and blurring the interplay between the rural and the urban. Learn by doing is the motto. Their practice in the Leidsche Rijn area is long-standing, notably through the Travelling Farm Museum of Forgotten Skills project.
