Organized by MasterPeace as part of the Foodprint project, in collaboration with the Outsiders.
Join us for an afternoon of sustainable food, community, and creativity in our beautiful courtyard-garden in Utrecht, together with the artist collective the Outsiders! This event is open to everyone, with a focus on families and children.
The event serves delicious pancakes made with local and sustainable ingredients, and invites participants to bring their own homemade topping to share. Whether jam, syrup, fruit compote, chutney, or something completely unexpected, the afternoon opens onto a shared table of tasting and exchange where sustainability is made tangible through what is brought and shared.
The gathering brings together food-making, sharing, and collective tasting as a way of thinking through everyday ecological practices. Visitors learn more about how recipes and ecology are interlinked through ingredients, their origins, and the stories they carry. Throughout the afternoon, a community food fair unfolds where toppings are shared, tasted, and voted on. Small prizes go to the winners, who share what makes their contribution sustainable. Categories include Most Sustainable, Tastiest, and Most Creative.
If bringing a topping, please include a small sign with ingredients, where they come from, and why you consider them sustainable. Paper and pens are available on site. Participation is also welcome without bringing a topping.
