Environmentalist Illustration with Angie Vanessita

Exhibition and talk co-hosted by Utrecht University’s Critical Pathways Fellowship and Casco Art Institute
29 November 2024, 16:00–18:00 / Casco HQ

We are excited to welcome artist and environmental activist Angie Vanessita, one of the Critical Pathways program’s new fellows. For over a decade, Angie has collaborated with grassroots environmentalists across Latin America, creating accessible and colorful illustrations that support struggles for the defense of territories, as well as human and environmental rights.

On 29 November we host Angie’s temporary exhibition in our Office Gallery, featuring her illustrations, alongside a talk where she contextualizes her work by exploring the role of her art in activism, and its connection to broader social movements. No RSVP is required.
