Join us next week Wednesday as the artist duo P-K-K-P organizes Lonely together / gathering in our garden inviting the public to contemplate the topic of loneliness.
P-K-K-P is building a nomadic setting that represents a home where P. cooks. It is a setting based on intense emotions related to their own families and cultural (in)dependencies and contexts. They are searching for where they belong or where they can feel at home; a complexity that challenges them in being together and staying together, inviting, receiving, and meeting. In this duo work, they always start from one commitment: that they always return to each other, no matter what they clash with, what they encounter, or where they are.
P-K-K-P have collaborated earlier with Casco during the 2022 exhibition Travelling Farm Museum Spring Collection and Utrecht’s Care Full art route. Parvaneh Karimi and Karen Vantvelt, who are both connected to the Mutual Support Platform and are MAFA HKU alumni, organize site-specific, artistic gatherings, in which being together is practiced and enhanced through their love for cooking and creating various handmade crafts, setting the ambiance for an intimate space of sharing.
