Join us as we gather for the new publication Unlearning Routines of the Impossible, this time in Vienna! Following the book launch at Casco Art Institute in February, we are excited to share that new activations follow, with a second presentation organized in the framework of Dirty Pink Waters of Collectivity—a series on intersectional art pedagogies by the KKP – Kunst und Kommunikative Praxis course at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, led by Annette Krauss and Sofia Bempeza.
Upon invitation for this occasion, and as publishers of the book, Casco team members Aline Hernández and Marianna Takou join the launch to give insights into Casco’s Ecosystemic Shift and explore the connections with the book’s themes.
As we continue to reimagine what a book launch can be, this second gathering around Unlearning Routines of the Impossible tests forms of sharing and exchange within our translocal ecosystems around the question: How can we bring research, conversations, and experiments toward unlearning to life and propagate this work across different sites of practice? Echoing Annette’s invitation to extend unlearning processes to other terrains, we shift for this occasion from our institutional context at Casco to an educational one.
The book Unlearning Routines of the Impossible is co-authored by artist and educator Annette Krauss featuring contributions from the Feminist Search Tools working group, Yolande Zola Zoli van der Heide, Nancy Jouwe, KUNCI Study Forum & Collective, and Ferdiansyah Thajib. The book is published by Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons and Minor Compositions/Autonomedia.
