On 18 June, from 18:00 to 21:00, the graduation exhibition of the MAFA (Master of Fine Arts) program at HKU opens its doors in the building of Basecamp. Titled Meanwhile, the exhibition embraces the instability of bodies, histories, and materials in flux. It reflects the current conditions the graduates navigate—shaped by precarity and ways of being that exist in the in-between. The exhibition is open daily until 29 June.

Participating artists are Aisha Hachem, Changli Cui Luo, Chen Ran, Fleur Carlier, Hannah-Rose Fleishman, Isabel Veganzones Belmonte, Janneke Venema, Li Xiangdong, Mark Torochkin, Mirella Moschella, Sohrab Kashani, Wang Xue Sophia, and Zoë Sluijs. We wholeheartedly congratulate the students we’ve had the privilege to work with so closely—through teaching and by welcoming them into many of our programs—and we celebrate the care and imagination they bring to this shared moment.
