Book launch and gathering with Annette Krauss, The Wave, and Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons
Saturday, 31 May 2025, 13:30–16:30 / Van Abbemuseum, Stratumsedijk 2, 5611 NH Eindhoven
Join us for a gathering around the new publication Unlearning Routines of the Impossible—this time in Eindhoven! Following the official book launch at Casco Art Institute in February and the University of Applied Arts Vienna in March, we’re excited to announce our next launch at Van Abbemuseum.
As part of this new launch, we invite you to a collective reading session. We are accompanied by responses from members of The Wave—a feminist community in Eindhoven that creates different spaces to open discussion, learn, and create. The gathering also introduces the harvests of previous activations in Utrecht, offering the possibility to connect and reflect together around the question: How can we bring research, conversations, and experiments toward unlearning to life and propagate this work across different sites of practice?
Schedule:
13:15: Walk-in
13:30: Program introduction by Casco
13:45–16:30: Collective reading / discussion with The Wave and Casco
If you are interested in more information around Unlearning Routines, see Taylor LeMelle’s review in Metropolis M (now in print) or listen to an interview about the book on Radio Robida for their series Branching In, Branching Out.
You can purchase copies in our webshop and on-site.
The book Unlearning Routines of the Impossible is co-authored by artist and educator Annette Krauss featuring contributions from the Feminist Search Tools working group, Yolande Zola Zoli van der Heide, Nancy Jouwe, KUNCI Study Forum & Collective, and Ferdiansyah Thajib. It is published by Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons, and Minor Compositions/Autonomedia.
This book has further been made possible with the financial support of Mondriaan Fonds and the Austrian Science Fund.
